There may some rules that need minor tweaks here and there, but all those can be easily fixed via an errata of some sort.Everything in the game is pretty solid. 7th edition is a very solid set of rules, and I really don’t see anything that needs any major overhauling. Maybe they won’t change the rules enough to impact the new Skaven and Beastmen books(like the way they screwed over Orcs and Goblins when they transitioned into 7th edition), but there’s still the possibility and I don’t see how that can be good for the game as a whole.īut the thing that really gets to me is the idea that Fantasy even needs a new edition. One thing that confuses me is that GW is, apparently, planning to release the new edition of Fantasy sometime in a near future, but this makes little sense as to why they would release two new army books and then change the edition over. Instead i’d like to talk about the recent rumors that Games Workshop is gearing up to release the 8th edition of the game, and i’d like to express that this is a bad idea. I could get into a huge rant that goes on-and-on about why I think Fantasy is a thousand times better than 40k, but i’m gonna’ save myself a lot trouble. So there’s a bit of a divide in the gaming world when it comes down to Warhammer Fantasy.
